Following the meeting of the Joint District Competition Commission of the All-Russian Exporter of the Year award in the North Caucasus Federal District, the winner in the category «Exporter of the Year in Industry», large business section, was JSC Caspian Sheet Glass Plant, representing the Republic of Dagestan, while the small and medium-sized business section was won by LLC Research and Production Complex NIVA Greenhouses, which also took first place in the category «Breakthrough of the Year».
The NIVA GREENHOUSES group of companies builds greenhouse complexes throughout Russia and the CIS and supplies all the materials a greenhouse needs: heating, screening and shading systems, supplementary lighting, irrigation and fogging systems, fertilisers, automation, climate control systems, equipment for sorting, packing, crop handling and internal transport, and many other components and materials used in greenhouses.
JSC Caspian Sheet Glass Plant is one of the largest float glass plants in the south of Russia.
It is the only modern high-technology plant of its kind in the CIS, the Caucasus and the Caspian region.
The plant produces 600 tonnes of high-grade polished sheet glass per day under the Caspian Crystal Clear brand.
The glass is used primarily in the construction industry for exterior glazing and is shipped to many regions of the Russian Federation, including such remote ones as Siberia and the Far East.
Its foreign customers include companies from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Poland, Turkey and Ukraine, Albania, Greece, Lithuania and Romania.
